Giving Back to Our Community

We've been on a bit of a hiatus regrouping and rearranging a few things as the end of the year is rapidly approaching. We've consumed ourselves with planning many events over the past few months; however it's been our pleasure to give back to our community by partnering up with My I.N.C. - the Kisha Beard Foundation.

My I.N.C. (My Innocence Never Compromise) -- the Kisha Beard Foundation promotes self-esteem and health awareness to young ladies ranging in ages 8-18. The foundation was inspired by Ms. Beard’s past hardships and created to inform young ladies of their value and worth in today’s society, and to let them know that they, too, have a place where they can become an intricate part of our society.

In October, Special Invite Event Planning & Management planned the Inaugural Endless PossibiliTEAS Luncheon for My I.N.C. - the Kisha Beard Foundation. The Luncheon was not your typical run of the mill luncheon. The event was fit for a queen, the delectable food, along with the tasty cupcakes from Crave Cupcakes (1151 Uptown Park Blvd) were amazing, but what stood out the most were women getting together to empower one another. Author Celia Anderson (Love, Ocean) stole the show with her words of inspiration titled “Queen.” She highlighted the plight of a woman from being average to being a QUEEN and she was welcomed by a standing ovation. Kisha Beard sat back and took in her vision, but when it was her time to talk about the foundation that she was inspired to establish, the shy woman stepped up and you could see the glow and the passion for the foundation that means so much to her.

The Q&A section was suppose to be quick and to the point but the event attendees kept Ms. Beard on her toes as they rattled off questions from, “What is the age range”, to “What inspired you to establish this foundation?” The event was concluded with some networking and a silent auction that included: "Houston Texan Experience", Rockets' Game Package, Massage Envy Package, "Eating Health -- Fit Foods" Package, and a gift card to Serenity Hair Studio.
